Folk Americana Band
Wild Aster bloomed from the bluegrass jam scene out of Frederick MD. Members Dominica Knapp, Michael Stone and Casey Haberman combine influences from American traditional old time music, folk, bluegrass and acoustic blues. All three members of this team are experienced and talented musicians and performers in their own right and the collaboration is a treat to the ears.
Wild Aster is available for your brewery, winery, distillery or any craft beverage venue as well as festivals and private parties.
Dominica Knapp is a singer/songwriter based out of Frederick Maryland. She performs in and around Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania as a solo musician and with Wild Aster. Not only specializing in Clawhammer style banjo, guitar and mandolin, Dominica is a powerful and dynamic vocalist as well as a songwriter. Her influences range from American old time, acoustic blues, bluegrass and folk.

Michael J Stone is a seasoned and impassioned musician with a rich background in roots music, encompassing bluegrass, folk, indie-country and Americana. With over 20 years of guitar experience and a history of performing live since he was a teenager. Michael's diverse musical journey has seen him him shine in various settings - from thrilling audiences in big band/funk ensembles at Maryland's jazz festivals to delivering heartfelt performances in intimate bluegrass and Americana venues.

Casey Haberman is an accomplished vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, with many years of performing experience, and a creative and intuitive approach to Dobro. His musical influences range from roots blues and bluegrass to Irish folk and punk rock, and his diverse influences come through in interesting ways in his playing. Casey has a strong and soulful tone to his vocals, and a tasteful approach to his Dobro playing, both of which enhance the music of Wild Aster.
